Unfortunately mySQL Workbench for Windows depends on some other Windows components, which you may not have installed. If your lucky the the install will sail through without incident, but you may encounter a few dependancy problems like the one shown below. If you do encounter these problems simply follow the link shown and I will endeavour to walk you through resolving them.
If when you run the mySQL Workbench installer you see the above message displayed you will need to install the Visual C++ Redistributable Package.
If when you run the mySQL Workbench installer you see the above message displayed you will need to install the .NET Framework 4.0 .
